Honey's Story

RESCUED February 15, 2013:
Honey is a beautiful 5 year old Golden Retriever who was brought into Hood County Animal Control February 15, 2013 with severe injuries to her neck. It was blatenly aparent Honey had fallen victim to animal cruelty. HALO received a phone call about her condition and we immediately knew we had to help her. She was taken to Granbury Animal Clinic where she received care and medical attention throughout the weekend.

Due to the graphic nature of Honey's injuries, we must refrain from posting pictures of them. We can tell you when we took this girl to the Vet, she was lucky her head was still attached to her body.

HALO has taken Honey under our protective wing where she will remain until her physical and emotional injuries are healed. Sandi at Second Chance Farm has offered to foster Honey until the day comes when Honey receives her "Second Chance for Love" with a new loving family that will give her the happy and peaceful life she deserves.

UPDATE: 3-15-2013:
Honey has made a full recovery and has been placed in a home with a loving family.

A giant THANK YOU to everyone that contributed to her Vet bills and contributed with prayers. Honey will now have the life she deserves because of all of our efforts! <3
Another precious life saved!
